    VICE PRESIDENT

    Elma (she/her) is in her second year doing a double major in Biology for Health Sciences and Chemistry. As the Vice President in the Champions of Change club at UTM, she assists with the coordination of team events, meetings, as well as partake in external communications. Her personal goals pertaining to the movement is to empower women and youth, especially in marginalized and low-income communities as well as help provide equal access to healthcare and education for everyone. She would like to help end gender inequality, encourage today's youth to pursue leadership opportunities and advocate for themselves or causes that they are passionate about.

    Anisha (she/her) is in her fourth year doing a major in biology for health sciences complemented with a double minor in psychology and biomedical communications. Her role as secretary marks the beginning of her involvement with Champions of Change UTM, where she coordinates communication within the team and takes on administrative tasks. She is passionate about empowering youth, especially those from marginalized communities, in achieving their personal and career-related goals. As a member of Champions of Change, Anisha believes she can help advance the movement towards gender equality and education rights.

    VP OF ADVOCACY

    Julianne (she/her) is currently in her third year of studies, majoring in Sociology as well as minoring in both Psychology and Professional Writing & Communication. She is passionate about social issues including women’s and girls’ human rights, empowerment, and well-being. Julianne also has a love for writing about her interests. As VP of Advocacy for Champions of Change UTM, she can put all of these passions into practice by amplifying the voices that deserve to be heard and the stories that deserve to be told.

    VP OF WEB DEVELOPMENT

    Prayush (he/him) is in his fourth year of Digital Enterprise Management (DEM) specialist program at the University of Toronto Mississauga. He is passionate about the club's mission and wants to help tackle crucial issues related to children and women's rights through his experience with web development. As a VP of Web Development, he hopes to use his technical skills to bring awareness to the movement of Champions of Change UTM and make a positive impact on the lives of youth facing challenges in education and human rights around the world.

    Mashal (she/her) is in her third year doing a double major in Computer Science and CCIT. She is passionate about activism and using her skills to help advocate for a better world. As a VP of Web Development, Mashal hopes to support Champions of Change in their mission of advocacy by spreading awareness online and empowering voices that often go unheard.

    Phoenix (she/her) is currently in her third year, pursuing a combined specialist in Economics and Political Science at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Champions of Change stood out to her as an amazing group of students who advocated for women and children’s rights around the world through local work, and she wanted to be apart of it. She throughly believes that any group people, no matter how big or small, can make an impact. Climate action, social justice and girls education rights have been a few things that she is keen to bring awareness around, as well as contribute efforts to. Phoenix is excited to be a part of the SPEAK! podcast as a host for the second time, raising the voices of other activists to the community.
