Collaborative Initiatives

National Period Drive

In partnership with Menstruation REDefined UTM and Boss Women UTM, we raised $610 for this collaborative initiative. The period drive was operational from September through October of this year.

Movember

The Movember event is a charity fundraiser event that Political Science and Pre-Law Association and Champions of Change UTM are collaborating on. Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research, and transforming the way health services reach and support men. On average men die 5 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. Globally, testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men. And across the world, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day, with males accounting for 75% of all suicides. We need your help to change these stats!

Country Specific Project

Champions of Change at the University of Toronto Mississauga reached out to Plan UAlberta and Because I am a Girl at the University of Toronto (Scarborough Campus) to raise funds to Plan International Canada's Country Specific project targeted towards the Bolivian Adolescents. We raised funds and awareness to combat the sexual and health crisis in Bolivia that is especially affecting children and adolescents. Together we were able to raise $429.50.
